As we celebrate Terri Boudreux’s remarkable 20-year journey with Associated Terminals, it’s a moment to reflect on her inspiring path, her invaluable contributions, and the profound impact she has made on our company.
As a resident of the Reserve community and a devoted mother of 2, Terri stumbled upon an opportunity right at her doorstep, as she had lived down the street from the Reserve office. Despite her initial hesitation to apply, Terri sent her resume, leading to an interview. She explains that while interviews often make her nervous, she quickly felt at home with the Associated Terminals team, making quick friends with Ann Thibodeaux and Gary Poirrer for an accounting position. Little did she know, this leap of faith would mark the beginning of a fulfilling career at Associated Terminals
While Terri was hired as an accounts payable clerk, she began to take on more responsibilities in the department throughout the years such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, etc. After 7 years working under accounting, Terri had seized an opportunity to grow within the company, when she had accepted a logistics coordinator position. Her ascent to the role of Senior Logistics Coordinator in July 2023 is a testament to her commitment and expertise..
In her daily role, Terri orchestrates the intricate dance of cargo transloading with precision and finesse. From liaising with customers and freight providers to crafting loading plans and maintaining vital records, her meticulous attention to detail ensures seamless operations day in and day out.
Throughout her journey, Terri has been guided by mentors and colleagues who have shaped her professional growth. Yet, she humbly attributes her success to the collective effort of the Associated Terminals family.
“I think of Associated Terminals like we do our families. We build it with all our heart, solely for one purpose, that is to make it grow and flourish. Here, we all take care of each other, take care of the responsibilities we have so that we can make our dream come true. Making Associated Terminals the best stevedoring company along the Mississippi River,” says Terri.
Undoubtedly, Terri’s path has been marked by challenges and milestones alike. Balancing work and family, navigating transitions, and embracing change have been part of her journey. Yet, her unwavering dedication and resilience have been unwavering.
Reflecting on her favorite aspect of the job, Terri finds solace in the opportunity to learn and grow continually. In an industry where every day presents a new lesson, she cherishes the camaraderie and support within the Associated Terminals community.
