New Warehouse / Transit Shed dedicated at Globalplex

The Port of South Louisiana joined community leaders and the Associated Terminals management team to dedicate a new $5.7 million 72,000-square-foot warehouse and transit shed. The new facility is the most recent addition to the 335-acre Globalplex Terminal in Reserve, Louisiana.

The new facility is capable of handling a wide array of cargoes, including break-bulk and palletized products, lumber, wood pulp and paper-liner rolls. The warehouse has direct truck access and a covered rail loading dock. It is situated adjacent to an existing 50,000 square-foot warehouse and 177,000 square feet of open lay down storage area within the Globalplex Terminal. Associated Terminals provides cargo handling for both ships and barges transporting bulk, breakbulk and containerized cargo shipments at the Port of South Louisiana, which is located on the Mississippi River at mile post 138.5 AHP.
