Safety Awards

Associated Terminals presented Safety Awards to four crews that recently
achieved significant safety milestones.

Representing over 200,000 man hours without a recordable incident, the team members of Associated Terminals at Globalplex (2 years, 60,000 man hours), the Gregory L (1 year, 33,000 man hours), the Paddy Kay (1 year, 35,000 man hours) and the Kristen J (2 years, 101,000 man hours), were each presented a plaque and individually monogrammed hats to signify the achievement.

“There’s a great deal of hard work associated with reaching these milestones,”  said Tony Collins, Vice President of Risk Management. “Each member of these teams, as well as their respective management groups, has emphasized the importance of safe operations through their proactive efforts. Without this commitment, the results would not have been possible. All should be proud of their contributions and efforts and for setting an example for the remainder of our team.”

When receiving the awards, it was very evident that each of the crews were extremely proud of their accomplishments. All were challenged to reach the next milestone while guarding against complacency. To the person, each committed to getting even better while continuing to lead the way.
